Road To Hana

When I was 13 my mom and I drove the Road to Hana in Maui, Hawaii. It was pouring rain as it often does on the island, and when we got to the top of the road there was a small bridge that was completely flooded... we were stuck. Instead of panicking my mom yelled "HOLD ON TIGHT!" as she flipped around and sped back down the hill. Amidst our laughter and fear, I remember rolling my window down to soak in the smell of fresh flowers while the warm rain hit my face. This candle embodies one of my most favorite memories with my mom, and is dedicated to her. ♡
